New Building Codes May Be in Philadelphia's Future

The City of Philadelphia's building code is 7 years out of date, putting the city at a disadvantage in promoting design and technology innovation; incorporating newly identified best practices; establishing a level playing field for designers, builders, and suppliers; and providing training for code officials and building inspectors.

Most recently, Philadelphia's insurance rating was lowered significantly due to the outdated code and the BIA anticipates increased pressure on the city to adopt the 2015 codes. The 2015 IECC in particular would have significant impacts on the building industry.

Come learn about the differences between the 2009 and 2015 energy codes and what these changes could mean to your bottom line. Sign up now and make sure you are prepared.
